The image above is from my original painting, “Gaze,” which was inspired by anime eyes, hair strokes, and openness.
Eyes are captivating no matter what color or shape they are. Sometimes eyes are the very first thing I notice when I meet someone new or see online. I wanted to capture how I see a pair of wide open eyes in my mind into reality. Painting this 8″X 8″ canvas has given me an outlook of how each brush stroke can be a different size, different curve, and different shape just like eyes.
