This 2019 art piece was a thrill to design! My inspiration to paint this animated character came from bright colors, space, and the third eye. Animation has inspired my imagination in the past, present, and most likely in the future. In other words, I enjoy using my adoration for animated shows to construct art by using acrylic paint. For instance, each lock of hair is colored, blended, and symmetrical on both sides to portray how wild and alien Rick from Rick and Morty truly is. In addition, I wanted to illuminate how I visualize Rick’s head peeking through a space portal! If anything, adult animation influences my creativity to paint.
